Buffalo Airways Douglas DC-4 (Black & White)

Description
This gorgeous 1945 DC-4 sitting on the ramp for the remainder of her life. Here is some historical info about this beautiful pice of history. Built in 1945 for the USAAF (United States Army Air force) which she was used as a long-range military transport. which she did until September 1947 she was handed over to the USAF (United States Airforce) doing the same transports. In 1971 she was put into long term storage at the AMARC facility in Arizona which she would stay to 1975.in 1975 the b DC-4 was turned into a aerial fire fighter, in 1976 a company by the name of Aero Union purchased her and gave her the registration "N3303F" she served as N3303F until 1980. In 1981 she was sold to a Canadian company by the name of Conifair Aviation and gave her the registration "C-GBNV" which she would keep till the end of her days. During her time with conifair aviation she was used as a aerial sprayer to protect forests against the spruce bud worm until 1995.In 1996 she was sold to Buffalo Airways in the Canadian North and would operate with them as a air tanker till 2011 where her final home was in the bone yard at Red Deer Reginal Airport-CYQF.
